Policies and Procedures

Pet Behavior and Stress Policy We strive to provide a relaxing environment for your pets.  However, some pets find the grooming process more stressful than others.  In these cases, we may need to charge for the additional time spent grooming your pet. We may also not be able to groom your pet due to these circumstances. Please help us keep your pet relaxed by advising us of any allergies, medical conditions, and sensitivities.  Because we are a small shop, please pick your pet up as soon as you can after we call. Dematting Policy Excessive dematting can be a painful and dangerous process for your pet.  If your pet is matted, it may be a better option for us to remove the mats with our clippers.  In cases where your pet is matted, there will be an additional grooming charge. Retail Policy On retail purchases, EmBARK! offers a refund with a receipt within 10 days of purchase.  Returned items must be in original condition, including tags and packaging.  They must be unworn, free of odors and stains, and free of pet hair.   Cancellation Policy When making your first appointment you will be asked to provide a credit card number to reserve the appointment.  This credit card is only used to hold your appointment  and will not be charged unless you do not show up for the appointment or cancel within 24 hours. For established clients, we reserve the right to require a deposit after multiple no-shows , or late cancellations.  If you are more than 10 minutes late, you  will be asked to reschedule your pets appointment. Payment EmBARK! Pet Spa does not accept checks.  We do accept payment by cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Applepay and debit cards.
